Dr. David Minkoff graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1974 and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Fraternity for very high academic achievement.

Thirty years ago, Cherie Gruenfeld turned her back on a successful career in high technology and became a full-time IRONMAN triathlete. She went on to become one of the most decorated masters triathletes in the world, winning her age division in nineteen IRONMAN races, including fourteen at the world championships in Kona, Hawai'i.
In October 2022 at the age of 78, she became the oldest female ever to complete the world championship, winning that event. In 2020, she was inducted into the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame, and has also been featured on the Wheaties Energy Crunch cereal box. Her book, Become an Ironman, remains a bestseller in the endurance sports world.
Her proudest accomplishment, however, is the Exceeding Expectations Foundation, which she founded in 2001 as a way to move the lives of at-risk inner-city kids in San Bernardino in a positive direction. The goal of the foundation is to help these children get college educations, using the sport of triathlon as the vehicle. Funded almost entirely by donations from individuals in the triathlon world, it's been extremely successful, earning Cherie a national Jefferson Award for her efforts.
