My name is Dr. David Minkoff. I am a practicing physician and lifelong athlete, having competed and completed 42 Ironman Triathlons.
The information I am about to share with you could not only change your life but vastly improve your ability to recover and heal your body - from the inside out. This solution is natural, vegan, vegetarian, GMO free, Gluten-Free and certified by NSF.
OK, it sounds great, right? Well it is so great that it has helped thousands of people to live better lives. I have tested and treated thousands using this information, and now, I'm sharing it with you.
Because a long time ago, a friend helped me. And it has been my lifelong goal to help as many people as I could. So now, right here, I am sharing with you, my story.
About 12 years ago, I was competing and pulled a hamstring. I thought, "Well this is relatively normal, I'll just rest and it will heal eventually."
Well, it didn't heal. And weeks later I still could not put the right amount of pressure on it. I knew that if I did, I would re-injure it.
And so I sought treatment. I tried everything. I saw other doctors, I took supplements, I rested. It just would not heal. It was a nagging, painful experience.
Then I met someone that showed told me about amino acids. He explained their importance, how they helped to build protein, and how by taking them in the right ratios, I could possibly rebuild my damaged muscle and heal.
I was intrigued and so decided to take them. To my astonishment, they not only worked, they helped me put on 12 pounds of lean muscle.
I was happy but also confused. At the time I was in my 60's, a vegan and very active. It just wasn't normal for me to not notice a physical difference in my appearance, yet gain 12 pounds of muscle.
So I called my friend. And he suggested that the amino acids I took had helped to "fill in the gaps" in my nutrition, and thus had helped to build the muscle I needed and also heal up my damaged hamstring. The amino acids had helped me rebuild and repair, from within.
To say that I was shocked would be an understatement. I was taken aback and had to immediately find out more.
In my practice, I have thousands of patients to care for. Patients who are counting on me to help them. It was an injury sustained while competing that led me to a solution that I didn't expect, a solution that has been misunderstood for ages.
It all begins with an injury I sustained while competing. It ends with not just a solution, but a perfect solution, that can help you recover, heal, rebuild muscle and improve so much more.
Your body is comprised primarily of protein. From muscle fibers to tissues.
To understand this better, I want you to think of your body as a bicycle for a moment. Now, the different parts of the bicycle would be amino acids. The tires, the frame, the handlebars, the chain and the seat would all be amino acids. They are all parts of the proteins that make up your body.
So let’s say you took your bike for a long ride through the mountains and crashed it into a tree. You would need to rebuild and repair this bicycle. You would need parts. Your body needs parts too, and those parts are amino acids.
Similarly, if I asked you to build a bicycle but then gave you 3 tires, 1 frame, 3 sets of handlebars, 6 chains and 4 seats, how many bicycles could you make?
The rest of the parts (amino acids) would go to waste. You would have excess parts and could not use those parts because in order to build a bicycle, you need the right parts in the right ratios. Your body operates in much the same way.
When it comes to bodily function, waste can actually be quite harmful. A mis-utilization of amino acids is not only more common than one would think, but the norm in today's world of high carbohydrate diets.
Your body needs essential amino acids to build protein. This is known. But what about the ratios of each amino acid and why not just take more and more protein until your body just gets what it needs? Why not just keep gathering more parts to build this bicycle?
Well, it would not work. Because you are only properly utilizing as much as 48% of the protein or amino acids you take in, the more you consume, the more you waste. And that waste can cause problems such as weight gain, injury, fatigue, and a host of other problems.
To understand this better, you need to know about dietary protein and how it relates to your body and overall health.
When we eat, our bodies take the food we eat and assimilate part of it, store it if needed and break down the rest into usable forms. Depending on our diets, that food can consist of plants, animal proteins, fruits and more.
Within your body, there are systems designed to break down these proteins, carbohydrates and fats and convert them to usable substances. An example is the conversion of amino acids to protein. When you expend a high amount of energy, for example, the body is broken down to some degree and must rebuild itself. It does so by using protein.
So, you eat a handful of almonds. These almonds have fiber, protein and other substances that are broken down and converted to useful fuel or energy. Depending on what your body needs at the time, the almonds are converted and the waste is expelled.
This is what is known as protein utilization. It is how much of the protein your body is able to use.
OK, this chart shows protein utilization percentages vs nitrogen waste (what the amino acids turn into when not used for protein synthesis).
Surprising, right? Who would have thought it our protein utilization was so inefficient?
Whey, soy and casein protein are the worst with only about 16% being utilized.
Meat, poultry, fish and collagen supplements are next with 32%. Eggs (including the yolk) finish near the top - with 48%.
Breast milk comes in first, at 49% utilization, which makes sense, given that it is the most natural nutrition source for the body, produced to ensure an infant gets all the nutrition it needs, in the most usable form.
So, all you have to do is eat more eggs and drink breast milk all day to be healthy then, right?
Well, no. First of all, breast milk is not readily available and the solution is not as easy as eating more eggs or more protein. Despite what is currently being promoted in the industry about collagen and whey protein powders, the truth is, neither one is good for you. Both are inefficient in delivering usable amino acids that can be converted into protein.
The body DOES NOT simply take collagen and make collagen. And it doesn't take protein and make protein.
When you consume dietary protein, including supplements such as whey and collagen, the body has to break it all down into its basic form — amino acids. It must then reconstitute them in the right ratio, to create protein synthesis.
However, if the amino acids are not in the right ratio in the protein source you consume (the bicycle example above), this is not efficient and your body only synthesizes a small amount of the protein you consume into actual, usable protein for the body.
In fact, based on a double-blind study*, it was found that most protein sources were extremely inefficient - including meats, fish and whey protein.
Now, what about those BCAAs or branched-chain amino acids?
BCAAs are three specific amino acids: Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. They are very popular with bodybuilders.
And while there is nothing at all wrong with these three amino acids themselves, there is a simple problem with taking just these three.
In order to build protein, you must have ALL EIGHT of the Essential Amino Acids. Not just the BCAAs.
Because when you take BCAAs, the excess amino acids get used for fuel and turned into carbs, spiking your insulin levels and leading to potentially toxic levels of waste nitrogen (unused amino acids) which can be bad for your health.
In fact, BCAAs utilization rate is approximately 1%.
Without all 8 essential amino acids, taking BCAAs alone simply leads to wasted utilization and excess waste.
So, what happens with unused protein?
There is nothing wrong with consuming vegetables, plants or any other foods. I love to eat, and so do a lot of other people.
But it is important to know what happens to food when you consume it.
There are two pathways in the body. Catabolic and Anabolic. In simple terms, Catabolic means un-used or wasted and Anabolic means simply used.
So when you eat a chicken breast, 32% of the amino acids from it get used (Anabolic). They are broken down and reconstituted as new muscle in your bicep, or tendons, skin, etc.
But 68%, after being broken down, are not able to be used (Catabolic) as the necessary ratios of each of the amino acids are not present. These leftovers are turned into nitrogen waste and eliminated from the body.
The goal here is to get as much utilization of what is taken in as possible, especially if you are trying to recover or repair the body.
There is extensive research on essential aminos, including their effects on the body. This isn’t just “theory” or an idea someone concocted or speculation.
Studies have shown significant muscle-preserving effects from essential amino acid supplements when ingested, especially during training in a fasted or ketotic state. This includes decreased indicators of muscle damage and maintenance of a healthy inflammatory response.
This means that if you took some essential amino acids, and consumed nothing else, you wouldn’t “cannibalize” as much lean muscle during a fasted workout session.
It would be the same for working out during or after a long intermittent fast, a bout of ketosis, a marathon, Ironman Triathlon or any other grueling event.
Then there is the study showing that consuming an essential amino acid mix after intense resistance training actually increased muscle protein growth and net muscle protein balance, indicating that taking these essential amino acids post-workout may stimulate faster muscle repair, recovery and growth.
Another study showed the potential for these Essential Amino Acids to cause muscle growth and regeneration because they are a potent rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) activator (activates cell growth), causing muscle satellite cell proliferation (for healing after injury). This gives them similar muscle building potential as to a large steak, but WITHOUT the large number of calories, preparation time or digestive strain.
Also, as you get older, your muscles produce less, or have a delayed ability to proliferate satellite cells in response to exercise. This is bad, especially when considering that satellite cells are essential for skeletal-muscle regeneration. However, it was found that those who consumed these Essential Amino Acids after resistance exercise had a far greater satellite cell proliferation capacity than those who didn’t supplement.
This is very important, especially if you're interested in anti-aging, since muscle mass and resistance training keep you young.
Lastly, there was a study with a 51 year old female who walked across the Taklimakan desert in China, consuming these Essential Amino Acids as her ONLY protein source. She finished the trek in 24 days after which she underwent numerous tests concluding that she showed no muscle loss and was in excellent health.
There is a better protein building supplement. In fact, there is a PERFECT supplement.
How did I eventually heal my hamstring? How am I able, at 72 years old, to compete in Ironman Triathlons and finish them? How can you heal your body and rebuild the damaged areas that cause the symptoms, aches and pains?
The answer is found in amino acids, formulated in the exact ratios which not only convert to protein, but do it perfectly.
I'm talking now about PerfectAmino. The only supplement that exists which offers 99% or greater protein utilization. PerfectAmino can perfectly rebuild the muscle and help your body repair itself with no waste.
PerfectAmino was created from only vegan sources, in the correct ratios for maximum assimilation and utilization by the body, and with no fillers, binders or anything else. It is simply and only the essential amino acids in their proper ratio and nothing more.
PerfectAmino is the ideal protein supplement. It is beneficial not only for athletes and biohackers, but also for those interested in daily health and performance, those suffering from chronic illness, individuals recovering from injury or surgery, seniors interested in prevention of muscle loss, mothers wanting to ensure their breast milk has the nutrients their child needs to grow strong and healthy, childhood illness and physical conditions, and much more.
Essential amino acids are literally the building blocks of the body, without which the body cannot properly heal. Thus their effect is quite far-reaching.
PerfectAmino is vegan sourced, non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free and is extremely clean and pure.
In my practice I am all about detoxification, so it would be very contradictory to have anything other than a clean product.
Take 5-10 grams of PerfectAmino every day. It will be in your system within 23 minutes or less. On days you are doing resistance training, or if you’re not feeling well, take another 5-10. And if you’re training extremely hard, or if you’re recovering from surgery, take yet another 5-10. Just don’t exceed 30 in a day — PerfectAmino is very potent.
Some benefits of the amino acids themselves, to help you with your goals, are as follows:
As you can see, each of the Essential Amino Acids have specific functions for your body. They are very important and you need to have them in your system, ready for use.
PerfectAmino tablets have no binders, coatings, fillers, or anything else — just the amino acids themselves.
1 tablet of Perfect Amino is precisely 1 gram of PURE protein. In comparison, 1 tablet would be equivalent to 6 grams of whey protein, 3 grams of meat protein, or 2 grams of egg protein. But with none of the hormones, GMOs, carbs or calories!
